How To Cure Thyroid With Yoga

The thyroid disorder behind high blood pressure and diabetes has really become a household name nowadays. According to the American Thyroid Association (ATA), about 20 million people in the United States have some form of thyroid disorder and at least 60 percent of those who do it are not even aware of it! Also, the prevalence of this condition is believed to be higher in women than in men. One of the main causes of thyroid disorder is that we are living a stressful life



Although there is a growing trend of thyroid disorders today, there are numerous treatment options for patients. Of course, it took time to show the results of each treatment, but there is something to your delight. Yoga and meditation can help treat thyroid. So adding a few minutes of yoga practice to your regular treatment can help reduce stress and make your daily life smoother and happier.

Now, thyroid disorders can be of different types, but the two most common are:

Hypothyroidism (obsolete thyroid)
Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid)
It is important for you to check with your doctor about what types of thyroid disorders you may have. You can also examine the specific symptoms of each type of experience you may be experiencing, but be sure to consult with a physician first to be able to suggest appropriate medical investigations before starting further treatment.

If you may have hypothyroidism:
You are slowly feeling the effects of everyday things, becoming lazy and developing an attitude towards everything.
You are working as usual but you are starting to feel more tired than usual.
You just don’t understand why you have constipation late.
Your friends are suddenly starting to notice weight gain and you wonder why you are not working so hard because you can't explain it!
You look at yourself in the mirror these days and notice that your face is getting embarrassed.
You are upset to see your long, thick hair suddenly start to thin out and there are bunches of hair scattered all over the house.
Your menstrual cycles are irregular (there may be other reasons for this; it is best to check with your doctor).
You notice excessive hair growth on the face which is becoming embarrassing.
You will see your throat swell. Of course it's time to look at the document.
How Yoga Can Help Reduce Thyroid Disorder Symptoms:
Before you start practicing yoga for thyroid disorders, be sure to consult your doctor. Also, these yoga techniques work to better deal with the symptoms and are not a substitute for medication (although in some cases the need for sedatives may decrease over time with regular yoga practice).

Note: While all yoga poses are considered good for patients with both hypo and hyperthyroidism, we recommend the following for a few postures that may be particularly effective. You don't have to limit your practice to just this posture; Check with the Sri Sri Yoga teacher in one more seat for your condition.

How To Cure Thyroid With Yoga

The following yogasanas can be practiced in the treatment of hypothyroidism:
The shoulder stand (omnipotence) is the most recommended posture in this position. It stimulates the thyroid gland to function properly due to the effects of stress and helps to stimulate other glands in the head region such as the pituitary and pineal glands, which also has indirect control over the functioning of the thyroid gland.
Reverse pose
One-leg forward bend (knee head)
Fish Pose (Matsasana)
Plow Pose (Halsana)
Cat Stretch (Margarinea)
Fast-moving sun salutations (sun salutations) can work well for weight control.
In addition to these yogas, the practice of pranayama (breathing techniques) such as forehead rubbing (shortness of breath with scalp), nasal cleansing (alternative nasal breathing), vasodilation and bright breathing work well to reduce the symptoms of hypothyroidism.

Food tips for people with thyroid disorder
Include high-fiber foods in your diet.
Reduce fat and carbohydrate intake.
Take lots of fresh fruits and green vegetables. In hypothyroidism it is best to avoid cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli.
Limit vegetarian foods, milk and dairy products (skimmed milk is recommended), rice, spicy foods, refined and fast food and snack foods with vegetarians.
If you may have hyperthyroidism:
You are either spending too much on food or eating less than usual. Appetite may change suddenly. But you are still thin regardless of how much you eat (if you are desperately trying to lose weight).
You are having trouble sleeping at night.
If you are sweating too much and abnormally.
The little things are easily bothering you.
You are usually anxious, nervous and quite quick about things.
